What makes magnetic eyeliner magnetic?
Well, the magnetic properties are due to the iron compound in the magnetic liner.
Specifically, we are using iron black oxide (also called Ci 77499). And, don’t worry! Even though it sounds scary, it is perfectly safe. In fact, iron black oxide is already in many of the beauty products you are already using.

“Black Iron Oxide is the super common inorganic (as in no carbon atom in the molecule) pigment that controls the darkness of your foundation or gives the blackness to your mascara. Blended with red and black iron oxides, it is essential in all “flesh-toned” makeup products. Chemically speaking, it is a mixture of iron II and iron III oxide. Btw, this guy, unlike the yellow and red pigments, is magnetic.”

I love it, holds very good but make sure to get those corners because that’s were they start to lift first. I keep them on until they start to lift at the corners.
This is a great liner in general it stuns me that it’s magnetic because it literally glides on so we’ll just like a normal black liquid liner ! Quick drying and stays put ! No smudge and you can get a really good tight liner with the sharp point liner applicator. I really like this liner and it is super light weight. I have sensitive eyes and this did not irritate or tingle or anything, it’s truly a great liner !
